Weekly Sunday rambles

Unless otherwise stated all walks are about 7 miles long

Consideration for other walkers

When walking with a group, do not walk ahead of the leader.   He or she

cannot control the pace if irresponsible walkers are forging ahead.   As 

groups are usually made up of varying walking abilities please consider those 

at the back of the party.   Leaders especially, are reminded that they must

set and control the pace of the walk to reflect these differing abilities, and must

not allow the pace to be dictated by a few members of the party who may tend to

force the pace.   Failure to observe these considerations may deter members from fully

enjoying the walks.

For all walks please bring refreshments.   There are normally pubs on route but we cannot guarantee the

availability of food.   If you wish to join at the start of the ramble you should ring the walk leader in the

week prior to the ramble.  When walking with a group, do not walk ahead of the leader.

25th February is a walk from Weethley to Alcester, and the meeting

point is the Crabbs Cross Island car park at 9.30am.   The leader is Jean,

Saturday 3rd of March is our BARN DANCE

St Godwald's Hall from 7pm to 10.30pm.   Tickets are £10, which

includes a Ploughman's Supper.   See Debs for tickets

4th March is a three Park Walk in Birmingham, and the meeting

place is the Artrix at 9.30am.   The leaders are Maggie and Maxine,

10th March, Saturday Safari is the 5th leg of St Kenelm's Way

This 11 mile walk is led by Gay & Glyn who can be contacted on 01527

541715.   The meeting point is the Crabbs Cross Island car park at 9.am 

11th March will be to Upton Snodsbury, and the meeting

place is to be the Crabbs Cross Island car park at 9.30am

The leaders are Gill & Mo  Rankin, who can be contacted on

18th March "A" walk is to cover Barton, Cleeve Prior & Bidford,

and is to be led by Kingsley who can be contacted on 01789 205594.

The meeting place for this 9.5 mile walk is the Crabbs Cross Island

car park at 9.30am

18th March "B" walk is a 6.5 mile walk around Hanbury, led by

Mo Lloyd who can be contacted on 01527 459152.   The meeting point 

is to be the Crabbs Cross Car Park at 9.30am, or Pipers Hill Wood at 9.45am

25th March is a Rivers & Canals walk around Ombersley, 

which is to be led by Pat Hastings,  and the meeting point is the Artrix,

at 9.30am
